Satan’s Strategy for Targeting Your Family
Tactic 1: Sabotage Communication with the Commanding Officer

-We know God has a plan for us and our families (Jeremiah 29:11)
-His plan is for our GOOD, to PROSPER us, to give us HOPE and a FUTURE
-Did you know Satan also has a plan for our families?
-He comes to STEAL, KILL, and DESTROY
-If we were on military operation and had intel of our enemy’s tactical plans, we would take advantage, right? We would put whatever plans we had previously made on hold until we make a plan that will be a wise counter-attack based on our findings.
-Well, our enemy has been after God’s children and our families for several millenia now, so he definitely has a plan. Fortunately for us, however, he isn’t very creative (I guess if his methods have been pretty successful so far, he doesn’t feel the need to change)
-Thankfully, we have the benefit of a Commander-in-Chief who knows the end from the beginning (spoiler alert: we win!), as well as fellow soldiers who have been privy to some of Satan’s favorite schemes and have passed on that info to us.
-Let’s open up our secret code Book (God’s Word) and blow the cover off this sneaky operation!
TACTIC #1 – SABOTAGE COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMMANDING OFFICER
-Mama, you can be sure the enemy knows that the best way to ensure his success is to keep us from being prepared for battle. If he can keep us from prioritizing time spent in prayer and Bible study, his victory is sure!
-If we are “running on empty” spiritually, we will not be able to pour out loving service to our families and certainly will not be prepared for countering the enemy’s attacks.
–Romans 5:5 – Do pour out God’s love, which is poured out in your heart (note it is poured INTO our hearts before we can pour out!)
–Proverbs 3:6 – In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths
–Isaiah 30:21 – Your ears shall hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”
–Psalm 34:10b – they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing.
–Psalm 1:1-3 – when we meditate on His word day and night, we thrive in Him!
-Satan also knows that the more time we spend with the Father, the more time we want to spend with Him! It becomes addictive, in the best way!
–Psalm 34:8 – Taste and see that the Lord is good! How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
–Jeremiah 15:16 – Your Words were found and I ate them, and Your words became for me a joy and the
delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.
–HOW TO COUNTER THIS ATTACK:
– Prioritize time in God’s Word!
-Practical tips:
-“Redeem the time,” take advantage of every minute, making wise use of time
-Begin and end the day in the Word and prayer!
-Surround yourself and your home with God’s Word:
-Verses on sticky notes, on the mirror, on clipboard/bulletin board, kitchen sink, printed and framed around the house – wherever they will be visible!
-Fill the background with His Word – listen to pod casts, audio Bible, praise and worship music, Scripture set to music
-Pray without ceasing! Keep a constant attitude of prayer!
-Sin is like sand – it multiplies and is HARD to get out of your house once it comes in!
-We can’t eliminate the source as long as we are in a fallen world, but we must “set a perimeter” around our house (like keeping our porches clean), to keep it OUT as much as possible.
-Remember, “garbage in, garbage out” – eliminate unwholesome media (books, TV shows/movies, music, etc)

I enjoyed the blog comments. I have hung signs and sticky notes and though I like listening to my oldies music, I have been putting on Chiristian music more and my spirit has been uplifted!
